Next, we will visit a magical corner of the world where the spirit of Christmas is always in the air - the Santa Claus Village. Step across the Arctic Circle, meet the man himself and pop into the post office to send a magical postcard with the Arctic Circle Stamp, right after you get some awesome souvenirs.

The rest of the day is yours, so why not grab a hot drink, rug up and head out into the winter wonderland to explore some more? Or perhaps spend it playing your favourite board games with your fellow travellers.

With a free morning and afternoon to explore the city and its surroundings, the world is your oyster. Perhaps visit some museums, such as Arktikum, the Museum of Finland, or Korundi, the Art Museum, or enjoy lunch at a traditional Lappish Restaurant after you get some shopping done.

The true adventure starts in the evening - come chase the Northern Lights with us! The natural phenomenon can never be guaranteed – but our guides are some of the best and will take you to the perfect spot right under the Northern Lights belt from which to spy the sky. Once you’re in position, simply sit back and enjoy the surreal atmosphere as your guide lights a fire and prepares snacks while sharing stories, myths and legends of the North.

An out-of-this-world experience awaits you as you check into a Glass Igloo, which offers 360 views of the Artic skies, ideal for the Aurora Borealis spotting!

Spend the rest of the evening exploring this magical place; whether you pop into the Ice restaurant & bar, try the snow sauna or chill in your Igloo, the colourful lights might be just above you, so don't forget to look up.

The rest of the day is free to explore this magnificent northern city at your own pace. You could check out Senate Square and take a short ferry to the glorious Suomenlinna Sea Fortress. One of the largest sea fortresses in the world, known as the Gibraltar of the North, and now recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. And if you’re feeling fancy, why not catch a concert at the National Theatre?

On our wanders today, we shall visit the historic Central Harbour and Market Square, which attracts locals and visitors alike with its foodie treats and trinkets. You can grab lunch at The Old Market Hall nearby, which offers tasty seafood dishes, game meat and plenty of vegetarian options and ethnic delicacies. Next, we will explore all that the Old City has to offer!
