The adventure starts when we reach Murano island. Famous for its artisan glassmaking, it is the perfect place for gaining a more intimate look into the local Venetian life. As we stroll through the Grand Canal, lined with cafes, restaurants, and shops, we will stop at a glass factory where you can observe the art of glassblowing.

Shortly after, we will continue our journey along the canal to Burano, a charmingly colourful fishing village known for its pastel-coloured homes, leaning tower, and high-quality lace. Hailed as one of the prettiest towns in Italy, you will gain some fantastic selfies. A visit to this island would only be complete with tasting Bussolai, a delicious traditional Burano biscuit.

By now, you will know all about the traghetto, the local way of crossing the canal, so you can explore Venice further by yourself. Perhaps walk the Rialto Bridge and browse the endless boutique shops for Venetian masks, gondolier hats and other souvenirs. In the evening, seek out Venice's phenomenal culinary heritage at the local restaurants featuring the most delicious Italian dishes.

We will kick off your first day in Rome with a visit to the grandiose Colosseum and save some precious time with the skip-the-line tickets. Follow the footsteps of Roman emperors and gladiators as your private guide shares the incredible history of the arena, regarded as one of the “New 7 Wonders of the World”. We will continue the expedition through ancient Rome to several incredible sites, such as the Roman Forum, the Temple of Caesar and Palatine Hill.

After the tour, head out in search of a local trattoria. Sitting down for dinner in Rome means experiencing generations of culinary genius and timeless traditional recipes. You will quickly understand why this country is so renowned for its delicious food.

Following breakfast, your private guide will take you to Vatican City - the smallest country on the planet, with some of the most important Catholic sites. To make the most of our time, we will tour the holy city with skip-the-line tickets. We will visit the private apartments of Julius II, the Vatican museums, and of course, the Sistine Chapel, where you can witness the revered Michelangelo’s frescoes. Considered the cornerstone of Renaissance art, the magnificent ceiling tells stories about the lives of Jesus and Moses.

Another historic jewel follows - a visit to St. Peter’s Basilica, the centre of the Catholic world built on the burial site of the apostle Peter, with Michelangelo’s Pietà. The tour ends in St. Peter’s Square, one of the world’s most beautiful squares, full of impressive collonades, statues and fountains designed by Bernini.

We will head back to Rome in the early afternoon, so the rest of the day is yours to explore as you wish. You could walk up the Spanish Steps, make a wish at the Trevi Fountain, see the wonders of the Pantheon or grab a gelato at Piazza Navona. Because when in Rome...

Walk through the historic centre, a World Heritage-listed area and the famous Spanish Quarter until you reach a treasured piece of art, the statue of the Veiled Christ. Visit the Royal Palace, once the residence of French kings and Spanish noblemen, and the ornate Naples Cathedral or Cappella Sansevero. And have you ever explored a city underground? The network of corridors and passages under the city has been there since ancient times!

Following breakfast, you will meet your guide and driver and set off for a day full of adventure exploring the Amalfi Coast - a land of rocky shores, azure seas, cliff-top vistas, lemon groves and bright blue skies.

During the panoramic drive, we will reach the picturesque town of Positano, with jaw-dropping views, and Amalfi, where we will stop at the iconic Cloister of Paradise. The trip's last stop will be the town of Ravello, which boasts the magnificent 11th-century Villa Rufolo, once Wagner's home.
