Shortly after, we will continue our journey along the canal to Burano, a charmingly colourful fishing village known for its pastel-coloured homes, leaning tower, and high-quality lace. Hailed as one of the prettiest towns in Italy, you will gain some fantastic selfies. A visit to this island would only be complete with tasting Bussolai, a delicious traditional Burano biscuit.

By now, you will know all about the traghetto, the local way of crossing the canal, so you can explore Venice further by yourself. Perhaps walk the Rialto Bridge and browse the endless boutique shops for Venetian masks, gondolier hats and other souvenirs. In the evening, seek out Venice's phenomenal culinary heritage at the local restaurants featuring the most delicious Italian dishes.

We will kick off your first day in Rome with a visit to the grandiose Colosseum and save some precious time with the skip-the-line tickets.
