Stunning Fjords of NORWAY

We will kick the day off with a pleasant stroll through the magnificent Vigeland Sculpture Park, which boasts over 200 sculptures by Gustav Vigeland, and continue on to the Royal Palace, the official residence of the current Norwegian monarch. Next on the list is a visit to the immense Akershus Fortress. Dominating the Oslofjord skyline, the fortress has had many uses, ranging from a medieval castle and a military stronghold to a Renaissance palace and even a prison. These days locals and tourists likewise seek out this remarkable place for its renowned museum and parks.

When the time seems right, set out in search of that perfect meal in a traditional Norwegian restaurant with mouthwatering dishes and artic delicacies. There is plenty to choose from, and our guide will be more than happy to share their recommendations.

Board a train to one of the most stunning fjords, Flåm. After a short stop at Myrdal station, you will join the Flåmsbana Railway, which passes through lovely valleys, rugged mountains, and scenic tunnels and bridges, offering unparalleled views of waterfalls and tiny villages. No wonder it is considered one of the most picturesque train rides in the world.

Once settled in, we have a special evening planned for you at an award-winning Ægir Brewery & Pub, where you get to taste the signature "Viking Plank". This unique Viking-inspired 5-course meal, perfectly paired with five different kinds of beer brewed on the premises, will take you on a culinary discovery a thousand years back!

Get closer to nature in the heart of the Norwegian fjords of Aurlandsfjord and the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord. Relish the beautiful scenery from an open RIB boat amid magical fjords surrounded by snow-covered peaks and frozen waterfalls, which will take your breath away.

We will stop at the charming village of Undredal, where you can sample and buy local goat cheese.

Take a walk to the local fish market or the stroll down the colourful streets lined with lovely shops full of souvenirs and local crafts. Or perhaps visit the 13th-century Bergenhus Fortress, one of Norway’s oldest and best-preserved castles. There are some excellent seafood restaurants in town, so why not venture out in the evening for a bite?

Experience the thrill of the Fløibanen Funicular Ride, taking you over a thousand feet up the Floyen Mountains. At the top, expect to be stunned by the incredible views of the city with its pastel-coloured houses and the deep blue sea beyond.

What follows is a guided walk around the Bryggen, a World Heritage-listed area of one of the world’s greatest harbour cities, upon which Bergen’s original settlement expanded. Wander through the reconstructed medieval dwellings and warehouses, and explore the beautifully conserved wooden Hanseatic Museum and the old Hanseatic port.
